Coordinated Restoration

One Plan. Every Tooth. Every Procedure.

Most adults with multi-issue cases need a mix of restorations — not just one type. We coordinate them all under one treatment plan, sequenced in the right order.

Fillings & Crowns

The foundation of restorative work. Cracked, worn, or failing teeth restored with durable materials matched to your bite.

Bridges

Replace missing teeth using neighboring teeth as anchors. Often the right call when implants aren't ideal for your situation.

Single & Multiple Implants

Replace missing teeth with titanium implants. Preserves bone, restores full function, indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Partial & Full Dentures

Removable or implant-stabilized prosthetics for larger areas of tooth loss. Modern dentures fit better and look more natural than ever.

Full-Mouth Reconstruction

Comprehensive rebuilding of an entire dentition — combining extractions, grafting, implants, crowns, and dentures into one coordinated plan.

Cosmetic Restoration

Veneers, whitening, smile design — integrated with your overall restorative plan so cosmetic and function work together.

The Treatment Planning Difference

Why General Dentistry Falls Short on Complex Cases

Most general dentists are excellent at single-issue procedures. The problem is that multi-issue cases need a different kind of thinking.

Piecemeal Dentistry

  • Each issue treated in isolation as it comes up
  • No long-term plan for the whole mouth
  • Crowns, bridges, and implants from different providers don't always fit together
  • Bite problems compound over time
  • Patients spend more long-term because each fix needs redoing

Coordinated Care

  • Whole mouth evaluated as a system
  • Sequenced plan — extractions, grafting, implants, restorations in the right order
  • Same prosthodontist plans and executes every phase
  • Bite, occlusion, and aesthetics designed together
  • Built to last decades, not until the next emergency

Prosthodontics is one of the seven main ADA-recognized dental specialties — and the only specialty whose entire focus is the coordination of complex restorative cases. That is three additional years of training beyond dental school, focused on the discipline of rebuilding mouths.

Dr. Asam plans your case from start to finish — no handing off between offices, no losing the thread between providers. Same doctor, same plan, every visit.

FAQ

Common Questions About Comprehensive Restoration

I have multiple dental issues going on. Where do I start?

Start with a comprehensive evaluation. We examine your whole mouth — every tooth, your bite, the bone, the gums — and develop a sequenced treatment plan. The order matters: extractions before grafting, grafting before implants, implants before final crowns. A coordinated plan is often less expensive long-term than a piecemeal one because each step builds on the next.

Why see a prosthodontist instead of my regular dentist?

A prosthodontist completes 3 additional years of training beyond dental school, focused specifically on tooth replacement, full-mouth reconstruction, and the coordination of complex multi-procedure cases. For straightforward cases, a general dentist is appropriate. For multiple stacked issues — failing crowns, missing teeth, bite problems, prior work that didn't hold up — the planning expertise is what makes the difference.

How long does a comprehensive treatment plan take to complete?

It depends on what's involved. Simple cases (a few crowns and a bridge) might be 2–3 months. More involved cases with extractions, grafting, implants, and final restorations typically take 6–12 months. We sequence the work so you're never without functional teeth and so each step heals properly before the next.

What does comprehensive restoration cost?

Cost varies widely based on what's needed. Plans range from a few thousand dollars to substantially more for complex multi-procedure cases. We provide a clear written estimate at consultation, file insurance claims with most major carriers (HDS, HMSA, MetLife, Cigna, Aetna, GEHA, United Concordia), and offer financing options including Cherry and CareCredit.

What if I don't want to do everything at once?

You don't have to. Comprehensive treatment planning means we map out the whole picture — but you decide the pace. Many patients address the most urgent issues first and phase the rest over months or years. The plan stays consistent so each phase fits the long-term outcome.

What's the difference between a prosthodontist and a cosmetic dentist?

Prosthodontics is one of the seven main ADA-recognized dental specialties. Cosmetic dentistry is a marketing term — there is no ADA specialty called cosmetic dentistry. Many cosmetic dentists are skilled, but a prosthodontist has formal specialty training in restoration, occlusion, and full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Asam offers cosmetic services as part of broader restorative care.

What if implants aren't right for my case?

If implants aren't the right fit for your situation, we'll tell you. Depending on your case, alternatives may include bridges, partial dentures, full dentures, or hybrid solutions. Our job is to recommend the right treatment for you — not the most expensive one.

Are you part of a chain or DSO?

No. Pacific Dental & Implant Solutions is an independent, locally-owned specialty practice. Dr. Asam owns the practice and personally oversees every case. You're not rotating between providers or following a corporate sales protocol.

Ready to Get a Real Treatment Plan?
